Portraits of the people who lead
For chief executives, founders, boards and senior teams, photographed at your offices or in the studio.
Seen as they are at their best
A leadership portrait has more work to do than a profile photo. It appears beside a quote in the press, on the board page, in a report and on a conference programme, and it should look like the same confident person in each. I photograph senior people for exactly those uses, and I direct the session so that it asks very little of them.

One session, every use
Company and board pages
A consistent set for the leadership page of your website, so the board reads as one team.
Press and speaker profiles
Portrait and landscape options with room to crop, ready for journalists, conference programmes and podcast artwork.
Reports and investor material
Portraits made on location at your offices, with enough variety for an annual report or an announcement.
LinkedIn and personal profile
A headshot that still works at thumbnail size, alongside wider portraits for articles and posts.
Planned around their diary
The brief
We agree where the portraits will be used, who is being photographed and how long each person has. I reply to every enquiry within one working day.
The session
I set up at your offices or in the studio and guide each person through expression and posture, so even a reluctant sitter is finished quickly.
The delivery
Edited portraits arrive in a private online gallery, typically within 7 to 14 business days, in the crops and formats you asked for.
“Your pictures are insane!”
Leadership Portrait Questions
Who are leadership portraits for?+
Chief executives, founders, managing directors, partners, board members and senior leadership teams. They are also for communications and marketing teams who need a dependable set of portraits of the people who represent the company.
How is a leadership portrait different from a headshot?+
A headshot is a single, tightly framed picture, usually for a profile. A leadership portrait session produces a small set: a headshot, wider portraits, and often pictures in the place where the person works. The set covers a profile photo, a press picture and a company page from one sitting.
Where do the sessions take place?+
Usually at your own offices, which keeps the time asked of each person short and puts them in their own setting. Sessions can also take place in my studio in south east London or at another location in London.
How much of a senior person's time do you need?+
Tell me how long each person has and I will plan the session around it. For a leadership team I set up in one room and agree a running order beforehand, so people come in one at a time and nobody is kept waiting.
What if someone on the board hates being photographed?+
Most people do, and senior people are no exception. Guiding expression, posture and body language is the part of the job I specialise in, and it is the subject of my TEDx talk, The Secret to Looking Good in Photos. Nobody needs to arrive knowing what to do.
How quickly are the portraits delivered?+
Edited images typically arrive within 7 to 14 business days, in a private online gallery. If you are working to a press or publication deadline, tell me when you enquire and we can agree a faster turnaround for a selection.
How is a leadership commission priced?+
Most commissions are built from the packages on the pricing page: a branding shoot for an individual, or a team session for a board. Larger commissions, or ones across several locations, are quoted once I know the brief.
